Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for our electronic newsletters, we collect personal information that you provide us with via our online forms, including; Your Full Name and Your Email Address, Child’s Name, Child’s age, Your Address etc.

  • Contact you if we need to obtain or provide you with additional information

We do not rent or trade your name or email address with any other organisations or businesses.
We use a third-party provider, WP Mail SMTP, to deliver our electronic newsletter and to store your details. We gather statistics of email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our communications. You can unsubscribe to our electronic newsletter by requesting it directly to the Academy Administration (until a subscribe/unsubscribe will be available)

WHO WE SHARE OUR DATA WITH AND WHERE WE HOST IT

  • Personal Data related to login and account (like name, email addresses and avatars): Your personal data used in our systems is stored in our hosting provider’s datacenter and is only used to process IT Account logins and website functionalities. You are entitled to request information about this at any time. This data is encrypted and only visible to the academy.
  • Personal Data within media types like photography or videos: This data may be published on the Academy website and on the parent’s whatsapp group. You are free to opt out of these if requested.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN OUR DATA

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. All user related data including comments is automatically deleted from the system upon unregistration.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Regarding articles 6(1)(b), 6(1)(c), 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a), the Academy will be processing members’ information to manage the members’ registration, safety records and photos.

The Academy will only collect information that is required to safely and effectively deliver our educational program.

Data Share

Personal data may be shared with the Academy instructors (currently only one), Emergency services (if needed) and IT systems used during the educational sessions. Photos may also be published on the academy website.
